Made it Monday

I just borrowed this title from another blogger.  Thanks.
These are a few of the things I've been making.
I like the way this shawl worked up.

I love my little hat.

I've been working on more stuff, but haven't
taken any pictures of them.

Welcome Spring

Spring has finally made it's appearance in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

This is the cherry tree in the front yard.

This is the same cherry tree one week later.

This is my walnut tree.  It is always the last one
to get leaves.  Look close they're just starting out.

And this covers the way I feel most of the time.

This is my attempt at Bavarian Crochet.

This fellow has been called Hiawatha the
whole time I made his outfit.  I'll be
sending him to Lyn Locast, my friend
in Wisconsin.

This is the latest Barbie outfit.
She'll be going to Milly in Washington.

I joined a group that exchange Barbie outfits
each month.  Milly Sunkel runs the group.
I have enjoyed this group for about 5 years.

This is one of the outfits that I received
this month.  April is my month this year.

This is another one.
I love them all.
I'll post them all the first week in May.
I have love Barbie sense I received my first one
in 1961.  She got lost somewhere along my
travels in the past 50 years.  But I have picked up
about 300 in thrift stores.  I even receive some
as gifts from family and friends.

What I've been doing.

This is what I have been doing so far this year.
We went to Jamaica the first part of February.

10 Wonderful days in Jamaica.

Then 3 beautiful days in St. George, UT

I made a very colorful shawl while in Jamaica

I made this one in January.  I love the way the yarn
striped.

I made this sweater from yarn I bought
in St. George, Utah

This is Rachel being silly in my new
sweater.

I had to make this hat just for fun.

These is my bunnies I made for my friends to wish
them a Happy Easter.

This is my Bobby.  She is my ever present muse.

Home again.

We just spent most of February in Jamaica.  What a beautiful place.

I crocheted 2 pair of socks, but didn't take pictures of them.

We were home for about 3 days and then went to St. George, UT  for a UCLS conference.
St. George is in Southern Utah.  Russell grows to classes and I go shopping and site seeing.

I finished this shawl while on the trip to St. George.
I take my crochet everywhere with me.  If I'm not reading, I'm crocheting while I relax.

February 2014

January was busy for me.  I don't know what I did, but I didn't get to my blog.  Sorry.

These are some little wreaths I made in December.
I made about 100 of them.  I gave most of them away.

I rescued a Manx kitty.
When she showed up in our garage just before Christmas
she was so skinny that you could count every vertebrae in
her back.
Now she is healthy.  I took her to the Vet to see if she had a chip.
She also had a hernia about the size of a Ping-Pong ball on her tummy.
She is now spayed, hernia fixed, chipped and healthy.
She think she owns the place now.
She weight about 6.5 pounds and love to get loves.

She is smaller than the other cats who live in the garage.
She has no tail, and hops like a rabbit when she runs.
We named her Bobby.

This is a throw.

This sweater is two big, 6 sided granny squares.
It was fun to make.

This is two skeins of lace yarn.  I love the way it
stripped.  I used the pattern from Lyon Brand.  I have
used the same patter for about 6 shawls (so far).  My
friend Annie Toy suggested it a few months back.
Thanks, Annie.  I love this pattern.

Sorry I have been away for so long.

I'm here

Bet you wondered where I got to.  I'm still here.  Just very busy.

These are from the Craft Fair I participated in December 6,2013
Had a great time.

Socks that were ordered for Christmas.

Tiny wreaths I made for friends and family.

Legwarmers ordered just before Christmas.

A shawl I made just for fun.  It's from the Lion Brand LB Collection Silk Mohair South Bay Shawlette.  Pattern Number: 90489AD

These are my little grand daughters.
Lexi (5), Chloe (5), and Wendy (3)
 (
I kinda like them.

We all got together at Rachel's house.

Hope you Christmas was wonderful, too.

Cross for a friend

I saw this lovely cross pattern.  It's from Annie's Favorite Crochet Magazine, Vol. 2, Pages 4-6.
When I saw it, I thought of Janet Cross a friend in Iowa who collects crosses.  So...

It's 8 inch by 11 inch.
I put into the mail yesterday.  I hope she enjoys it.

Then I had to make an angel...

Rachel asked for a purple Christmas sock.
So here it is.
It's about 4 inches x 12 inches.  I hope this is what her wanted.
