Lexi's Afghan

I got these first 3 colors done.
Then I did the Lilac and forgot to take pictures of them.

This is it.  Finished for Lexi.  She wanted one that was Pink and Purple.  Here it is.
I think it is rather pretty.  I used the pattern by  Caron.com   It's the Mount Vernon Throw.  (It is made  with Naturally Caron #0023 chocolate Truffle, #0015 Deep Taupe, #0012 Foliage, and #0004 Green Sheen.)  The squares work up really fast after the first one.

I just hope Lexi loves it.

Crash!!!!!

My stinking computer crashed.  I had 12 viruses.  Stupid thing.  Anyway all my information went away for a bit.  I still can't get it all back.

Book find.

I did a mess of running around today. I stopped in at the second-hand store on one of my erronds. And I found a vintage book. McCall' Needlework Treasury...dated 1964. WOW, what a find. I'm going to spend many hours with this book.

This is Edgar, ready to take flight. He started out as a chicken and then became a bald eagle.
He is a happy little fellow. He thinks he's a big bird and can take on the world. He is really only about 3 inches tall. He like gummy worms. So I'll have to pick some up while I'm out.

These are my little kittens. My wonderful husband think he is allergic to cats, so I make my own.
They like to sit with Ruby on my little table next to my spot on the couch.
Ruby posed for another picture because she didn't like the others we posted a few days ago. She likes this one much better.

Ruby

This is Ruby. I should have used a light background for the pictures, but I'm still learning.
Anyway...I had fun getting to know her. She lives with George and Sabation in a little box.
I think I'll make them a "real" home. But that is for another time.

They're back!!!

These little guys showed up yesterday and the day before. The brown one is Sabastion. The green one is George. They were very nice when they showed up. They introduced themselves and then sat quietly in this little twig chair.
Guess I better get busy on some of my UFO, before more of these guy show up.

What happened to January?

WHAT! It's already the middle of January!!!
Ok, so Winter finally showed up. It snowed yesterday. But today was beautiful. The sky was so blue, and the sun was bright. I love this kind of Winter.
This is the start of Philly's BIG GREEN afghan. Picking a pattern and the hook.
This was step 2: Picking the colors.
Then just work until it's finished.
And it's done.
I sent it to work with Rachel so that Tahnee could deliver it. So they left it in Tahnee's office and Philly doesn't even have it yet.
Someday I'm going to figure out how to get this blog to look like I want it to.
Until then, bare with me.
I wish I had taken a picture of the mountains looked today. But I missed it. Maybe next week.
