Happy day. This mornings weather was a mess of all kinds of stuff. It's now afternoon and it looks pretty nice out there. Not warm, but almost sunny.
I made a haul at the second-hand store (Savers). I got a bunch of yarn, and some granny squares. AND...TaDa...two bags of knitting needles and crochet hooks. What fun! I'm going to go play with them now.
More tomorrow.
Hugz.

Cloudy Tuesday
No sun shine today. Storm coming in. Warm and windy. Spring in Utah.
The fruit trees are in bloom. the tulips are beautiful. The other trees are getting green. Snow expected tomorrow.
I'm making a mess of granny squares and African Flowers. I have so much yarn scraps in my stash that I can make these lovely little squares until I'm 190 years old. Something to look forward to.
I love my crocheting. Live is Good.
A crochet hook, yarn, and my iced tea, and I am a happy woman.

Beautiful Monday
The sun is shinning. The sky is blue. The trees are turning green. The cherry tree is in bloom. It's a beautiful day.
My oldest son, John, called yesterday. We talked for 45 minutes. He remembers things from before I took them to live with my Aunt. He was 20 months old. Darn young to remember the things we talked about yesterday. Things that only he and I would know.
I'm glad he calls now. I've missed him.
I am a very lucky person. I gave birth to 4 darn good kids and got to love and watch grow 3 more. And I love all 7 of them.
I received a pattern for African Flower motifs. I have made 3 of them since yesterday. They are so pretty. They're a hexagon shape. I've wanted to make a hexagon motif afghan for a bunch of years. Now I have a pattern the I'm happy with. I'm going to make and afghan with them. I'll post a picture when It's finished. Maybe during construction.
I separated my Day Lilies yesterday. They look kinda sad today. I hope they make it. They'll be so pretty when to thicken up again.
This morning I threw Weed and Feed all over the front lawn.
All this yard work is cutting into my crocheting.
I watched Buried Alive last night. It's about Hoarders. SCARY. My house is getting like that. So when I get home from my crochet class I'm attacking the kitchen. (That's a good place to start.) I'm going to find my counters, and do the dishes today. I'll let you know how it comes along. WISH ME LUCK.
Better yet, pray for me.

This computer is driving me nuts. I wrote a bunch and when I posted it...POOF! It's gone. Guess the spooks got it.
Anyway...Here it is again.
I love my crochet hook. I'm having so much fun with my crocheting.
I joined a group who exchange bookmarks. (That explains the picture) I love each of the beautiful bookmarks that I receive. The picture is of ones I have made. I make them when I'm between projects.
I belong to a group who exchange Barbie outfits. I love all the lovely outfits I have received and I have made friends as an added bonus.
I am going to join a group who exchange granny squares. I can hardly wait to see where they come from.
I'm still making angels, scarves, hats, and baby afghans for charity, too.
I carry my crocheting with me everywhere I go. It helps me cope with waiting.
I hit the second-hand stores yesterday. I picked up some great yarn. And a baby crochet book from 1956, paid 29 cents for it. Great deal.
I'm making a duster for my friend, Marie. It's Lion Brand Homespun in a lovely ivory. I love it. I hope she'll like it.
Crochet is such a lovely pastime for a rainy day or any day for that matter.

Hi People
I'm back. The past week has been crazy. Monday was our crochet class at the senior center.
I did doctor appointment with Rachel on Monday and Wednesday last week. Rachel had her gallbladder out early yesterday morning. She's doing fine.
I went to Annie's Fiber Friendz on Thursday. I enjoy those ladies so much. We do all kinds of fiber arts. And Annie always makes the best lunch.
Friday, I went to Blazing Needles to crochet while the others knit. I made a set of Baby socks.
Saturday, Russell and I ran up to Idaho for lottery tickets and lunch at Me and Lou's. They have really good country food. And lots of it.
Sunday, Russell and I went out to Wendover. He plays poker and I play the slots. Neither of us won much. But we spent the weekend together and that was worth it all.
I've been walking more since the weather has improved.
I'm driving Russell's father to his doctor appointment this afternoon. That should be great fun. I'll sit and crochet or read while he sees the doctor.
I've been doing alot of baby items lately. My neighbor has two grand children on the way and I've been helping her with her crocheting. I enjoy her visits.
Get up, Dress up, and Show up.

Hello World
This Lexi at work with Chris.
I am having a great day. No reason, really.
Yesterday we worked in the yard for a few hours. We cut down the Chineeze Elm in the back yard and stacked the limbs and put them in the trash. I was so tired. What was that all about? Manual Labor is just not my thing. I am basically lazy.
But I do feel good today. Spose there is a connection?
I tended Lexi on Friday. I taught her a new phrase, "Way to go, Jerk." It's better than the first world I used on the other driver. She's a mocking bird. We had alot of fun.
We also watched Phil Mickelsen win the Masters Golf Turnament. We watched it because of Tiger Woods.
I don't care what the rest of the world thinks of him, I think he's getting the rotten end of the stick. He's just 35 years old, that is way too young to have to deal with the weight of the world. He made some mistakes. OK! We've hashed it over for almost a year. Move on, ALREADY.
We all know what happen to the last person who was perfect. Do you want to go that way?

Spring?
It was back this morning. What a beautiful day. Sun shine all day. Cool, but not cold. I love this time of year.
Today Russell and I have been married 19 years. I don't know how he does it, but he get better, more interesting and fun all the time. I love him more every day.
I'm between projects (sorta). I have a couple started, but I don't want to work on them. I need to work on the sweater for my friend, but I don't like the pattern that I started. I guess I'll go down to the basement and look for another pattern.
I'm going to tend Lexie in the morning. Chris has to go to school and the regular babysitter has to deal with some family stuff. This should be fun.
She always tries to help me crochet. If the weather holds, we'll play outside.
Whatever you focus on, you will experience.

What is that large, bright light in the sky????
I woke up this morning to a large, bright light shining in my window. It took me a few minutes to remember what it could be. THE SUN. It's been so long since I've seen it. Today was beautiful, but still a bit on the cold side. The sky was so blue.
I started a sweater for a friend today. I don't like the way it's turning out so I'm going to look for another pattern in the morning.
Guess I just work on angels tonight while I watch the television.

LIFE is GOOD !
No matter what the weather does. Snow again last night. Breezy today. But it's ok because I live in a warm, safe home with the love of my life.
I finished the afghan for Janet. I think it's very nice. I hope she likes it. We'll be giving it to her when we go to Iowa in June.
The second picture on the right are the fingerless gloves I made for my older sister, Lydie. She has arthritis in her thumbs and I thought these might help. I gave them to her yesterday. She said that she likes them. She wore them at our crochet class.
I'm still trying to figure out how to add more pictures. I'm not giving up, yet.
Any day you get out of bed is a GOOD day.
