I'm here

Bet you wondered where I got to.  I'm still here.  Just very busy.

These are from the Craft Fair I participated in December 6,2013
Had a great time.

Socks that were ordered for Christmas.

Tiny wreaths I made for friends and family.

Legwarmers ordered just before Christmas.

A shawl I made just for fun.  It's from the Lion Brand LB Collection Silk Mohair South Bay Shawlette.  Pattern Number: 90489AD

These are my little grand daughters.
Lexi (5), Chloe (5), and Wendy (3)
 (
I kinda like them.

We all got together at Rachel's house.

Hope you Christmas was wonderful, too.

Cross for a friend

I saw this lovely cross pattern.  It's from Annie's Favorite Crochet Magazine, Vol. 2, Pages 4-6.
When I saw it, I thought of Janet Cross a friend in Iowa who collects crosses.  So...

It's 8 inch by 11 inch.
I put into the mail yesterday.  I hope she enjoys it.

Then I had to make an angel...

Rachel asked for a purple Christmas sock.
So here it is.
It's about 4 inches x 12 inches.  I hope this is what her wanted.

Thanksgiving 2013

Just a little note to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends who read my blog.

I hope this day bring you joy and health.  May you always be thankful for the people and things you love.

I am thankful for all who read my silliness.  Thanks for being you.

Love to all,
D'Ann

November Craft Fair

These are Snow Man Gift Card Holders
The pattern is available form Lily Sugar'n'Cream
also on ravelry.

This is a snowflake doily form Red Heart.
The little socks are quite fun to make.

This is Ted (my little turkey).
And a scarf that didn't show well.

This is my table at the Magna Kennecott Senior Citizen Center.
Didn't sell much, but enjoyed the day.
Got to see what some of the world is up to, and talk to
a lot of very nice people.

Busy Hooking

I've been busy getting ready for a couple of Craft Fairs.  One in November and one in December.  I am so looking forward to them.
Here are some of the things I'm doing.

This is the beginning of the slippers.  The pattern is from Crochet World magazine, October 2010, Vol.33, No. 5; designed by Christina McMahon.

This is the start of the baby sweater.
This is the finished one.
Pin cushions
I made these up as I went along.

This will be a throw.
It's the corner to corner stitch.
One of my favorite stitches.

Pets

My youngest daughter has a mess of pets.
This is Nakita.
She's the Great Dane mix.
BIGGGGGGG!
She's the latest of the bunch.

This is Kitten.
She is nearly blind.  She was rescued as a baby.

This is Tigger.
He was rescued at the Salt Lake City Airport when Rachel
worked there.  His people didn't want to pay to take him along.
He has mittens for front paws.

This is the boys.

Grizz

It's finished.

I finished Rachel's sweater.  She said that she loves it.  I hope she wears it a lot.
The skull shows up well.
The ones on the sleeves don't show up as well.

I woke her up.
I put a lot of work into this.  But it was done with love.

Up date on Sampson

I forgot to let you all know what happened to Sampson.  (The beautiful feral cat I caught)
Well, he was too full of infection and could not be saved.  So they put him to sleep about a week after I caught him.
I'm still missing him and crying.  But I'll be alright.
I have caught 3 of the other cats who come to eat.  They were spayed and neutered and returned.  So I have 2 tuxedo cats and one tabby in my garage to eat.  The one tuxedo cat always looks up at the kitchen door to see me when I feed them.
I love cats, always have, always will.

Crocheting

I'm working on a lap afghan for a senior center.

The sweater that I started a few months ago is done.  I'm going to take a picture of Rachel wearing it when I give it to her.  I hope she likes it.  Oh Well, I like it.

I'm working on a bunch of stuff for the Heritage Center Craft Fair in December, so I'm not putting much on here.
I did want everyone to know that I'm still around and just busy.  Pictures to follow.

More soon.

Oops! Skipped September

Well, I've done it again.  I skipped a whole month.

These are the outfits I got from Ma's Barbie Group.
I love each of them.  The other girls do really beautiful
work.

These last two pictures are of what I have been working on.
The one above is my witch for Halloween.
The bottom one is the start of a cover-up for my daughter, Rachel.
I hope she likes it.  I decided not to use the granny square.

Home again

We got home from our Hawaii trip yesterday.  WOW! I love Hawaii.  It was beautiful, again.
This was the view from our hotel balcony.

This is my cute husband.
He didn't know I was taking the picture.

This is the black sand beach near the south end of the Big Island.

These are pictures of the north end of the Big Island.

This is the sunset from our balcony.

This is the Mustang we rented for the 9 days we were there.

I received these two lovely outfits from the girls in MA's
Barbie Group.

We exchange outfits throughout the year.  August is my month
this year.
Aren't they wonderful.

These last pictures are some of the WIP's that I
finished before we left on our trip.

This is what happened to my garden while we were gone.
We have a bunch of beautiful tomatoes and other wonderful
veggies.
